I don't know how many times I've heard beginners being told that they need to learn on a longboard. It's simply not true. If you want to be a longboarder then fine, but if you want to be a shortboarder, your best bet would be to learn on a big bulky, floaty shortboard, like a funboard or hybrid (or even a large, bulky shortboard). The Lazy Fish as the name implies is exactly that. I dont think i have ridden the Lazy fish since those first three waves, but am looking forward to riding her again soon. Perfect for our SoCal Summer waves.
