You are so correct about the longboard comment. I don&#039;t know how many times I&#039;ve heard beginners being told that they need to learn on a longboard. It&#039;s simply not true. If you want to be a longboarder then fine, but if you want to be a shortboarder, your best bet would be to learn on a big bulky, floaty shortboard, like a funboard or hybrid (or even a large, bulky shortboard).</description>
